External Gas Filters

The external Gas filter cleans the gas generated by the Spirflame® from any aerosols or mists or traces of electrolytic fluids created and originating from the electrolysis process. The Hydrogen and Oxygen gas mixture produced "escapes" as fine bubbles from the electrolyte fluid. This creates a very fine mist / aerosol able to be carried along with the gas. The external gas filter (= mounted outside the Spirflame® generator for easier cleaning and maintenance) removes these mists before entering the Booster.

Torches

The gas flow regulation valve locks with a push-twist operation onto the conical connector end of the Torch handpiece (BH).
The valve allows some fine tuning of the flame. Its main purpose is to extinguish the flame with a quick ON -> OFF control of the gas flow.
Flame size is basically established by choosing a tip of convenient size. The flame size can be fine tuned with the valve.

Tips

The tips are made from precision stainless steel capillary tubing.
Within the usual gas pressures ranges the gas flow in the needle and at exit will be in a laminar mode. The tip end does not heat up or glow.
